Smoke Break

is a project/event by UME. It is a nod to the back-alley rituals of nightlife and the service industry, where the best conversations often happen out back, mid-set, and over a cigarette. The project is deeply inspired by those moments in freezing alleyways and in tiny smoking areas at DIY rave venues that somehow spark real and lasting friendships. Rooted in intimacy, intention, and care, Smoke brings people together through music, community, and a deep appreciation for the culture and people that shape nightlife — from selectors behind the decks to the workers, spaces, and stories that keep the scene alive.
