"Delano Smith influenced either all or most of the Techno generation" - Jeff Mills A pioneer of Detroit's DJ scene since the late '70s, Delano Smith has crafted a unique style : progressive, tech-soul and deep. He is today recognised as one of the founding pillars of Detroit's house culture, having directly inspired names like Derrick May, Jeff Mills and Juan Atkins. His influence on an entire generation makes him one of the most defining figures in the history of electronic music. From Detroit to Montréal II is a two-part cultural event bringing together heritage, conversation and transmission around the roots of Detroit's house and techno, through the story of one of its legends.
