Under the Radar: Queer Underground Cinema from the Global South

UNDER THE RADAR is a series of unique queer film screenings by 75 SHOTS Pocket Cinema, presented in semi-private and undisclosed locations including backyards, gardens, alleyways, and rooftops. Screenings are accessible by invitation and bring together short films of all genres, subtitled in English or French, created by queer artists from Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and their diasporas.<br><br>The works come from the Cinema Feast Collection, a living archive of films created in contexts of censorship, exile, resistance, and social transformation, often through DIY filmmaking and smartphone cinema.<br><br>All screenings begin at 8PM.<br>June 11 — Queer joy and solidarity<br>June 25 — Fluid identities and speculative stories<br>July 13 — Memory and resistance<br>August 13 — Black queer futures and collective care<br>September 5 — Hospitality, migration, and chosen family<br><br>Registration is available via the Cinema Feast newsletter at Cinema Feast Under the Radar. <br><br>Exact locations will be shared with subscribers 24 hours before each screening.
